Abstract :
With the development of information technology and the large-scale application of information technology in military domain, targets on the battlefield are melded together with the information flow and dependent on information. This paper investigates the existing targeting method and analyses the target´s characteristics in the Network Centric Warfare. Then an approach to targeting method based on battle damage assessment of system is proposed. The key component of this targeting method is its ability to predict battle damage based on social network analysis, and to decide the optimal strategy based on battle damage prediction. The accuracy and effectiveness of this targeting method is demonstrated with a case study on how the targeting method supports targeting decision-making.
