Abstract
The performance of the photovoltaic panels (PV) is influenced by its orientation, which affects the amount of energy received on the collector´s surface. Climate condition and geographic location of PV´s plays an important role on choosing the right angle for high-energy production. The current paper presents an analysis on determining the optimum angle of photovoltaic panels based on experimental measurements made in the laboratory and natural conditions during cold seasons. Finally, the article presents the optimum tilt angle for Romanian climate conditions.
