  • Abstract
    In this paper, the prospects for a common, wide spectral range, adaptive Radio Frequency (RF) front-end sub-system that supports multiple, simultaneous, and frequency agile wireless functions on a platform are reviewed. Common, adaptive RF front-ends for military platforms are discussed along with their potential advantages in operational effectiveness, electromagnetic compatibility, and Size, Weight, Power and Cost (SWaP-C). In addition, the RF front-end performance goals are presented along with the technical approach for designing a modular, adaptive RF front-end for ground mobile platforms operating multiple wireless functions.
