Abstract
Child and adolescent mental health presents a major challenge to national health services in developed countries due to the lack of (self-)awareness, misconception from the general public, data sensitivity and discontinuity, and the lack of suitable means for subtle and real-time intervention. We report an on-going pilot study aiming to offer ICT support to young persons who are suffering severe mental issues. Our technology supports the promotion, prevention, empowerment and risk reduction of mental health illness through decision support and recommendation systems in a holistic approach.
