Abstract
This paper proposes high step-up DC-DC converter using transformer with intrinsic voltage-doubler. The proposed converter has following advantages: 1) raised voltage gain by not only duty ratio but also increasing transformer turn ratio; 2) lower voltage stress of the switches; and 3) less number of elements compared to conventional high step-up converters. The circuit configuration, operation, and theoretical analysis of the proposed converter are described. The circuit operation has been confirmed by reduced scale circuit experiment.
