Abstract
Different dynamic line rating systems have been developed in order to monitor lines and calculate the actual line rating. In this paper weather, conductor temperature and conductor tension based systems are analyzed. Measurements in two pilot lines were taken. One of them is the 66 kV evacuation line of a wind farm whereas, the other one is a 30 kV distribution line. In the analysis, actual rating values are calculated with the measurements of each system. Due to the fact that DLR results of the conductor temperature and conductor tension systems are inaccurate when differences between conductor temperature and ambient temperature are low, the analysis is made at different temperature ranges.
