This approximately 76-contributor, single-editor, 20-chapter book is one in a series on biomimetics to be published by CRC Press. The editor´s aim, from the foreword, was to produce a book that serves as a comprehensive reference document on the subject of biomimetics, provides a tutorial resource, and outlines the challenges of and vision for the future of this field. In large part, this has been achieved in this book.
