  • Abstract
In this paper I discussed the application and behaviour of jet ejectors, and established a simple method for the calculation of the thermodynamic and geometric parameters of steam jet ejectors. Furthermore, for future measurements on a steam jet ejector I designed a measuring equipment. Jet ejectors are categorized by the motive fluid, therefore I summarized the applicational field of jet ejectors based on their motive fluid. Jet ejectors are used to create vacuum, to compress gases, to convey fluids, or to mix liquids or gases. The main aim of the article was to create a simple calculation of thermodynamic and geometric properties through the steam jet ejector, based on previous dissertations and calculating methods elaborated by German scientists in the middle of the 20th century. For the calculation of the properties I used steam tables and simple thermodynamic and hydrodynamic equations.
