Abstract :
Broadband mid-infrared quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) at ~10 μm based on the continuum-to-continuum design are presented. The prototypes show broadband lasing spectra (978 cm-1-1055 cm-1), 580 mW peak powers and 0.5 W/A slope efficiencies.
