Abstract
This paper presents a method which enables the identification of critical power system states regarding voltage stability. The identification is based on a Continuation Power Flow (CPF) Method, starting at a given operating point to find next collapse points under given system constraints. In particular different load characteristics, generator limits and the operating of tap changers are considered. In this way collapse points can be determined more precisely and assessed by the loading margins for possible (n-1)-power system states.
