Abstract
Heterogeneous Wireless Networks HWNs are combined networks made of different Radio Access Technologies RATs aiming to achieve the ABC (Always Best Connected) concept. In this context, users with multi interface terminal can connect to different wireless technologies such as 802.16, 802.11, UMTS, HSPA and LTE in the same time. The main issue of HWNs is the choice of the suitable access network from the available RATs list; this decision is called the network selection. Network selection process depend on several parameters such QoS, mobility, cost (money and battery-life)...etc. this paper propose a network selection model using game theory. The paper presents the network selection problem, after that, introduces the game theory models, and finally solving the network selection problem using the game theory framework.
