Abstract
In this work, we aim to predict the design of a resonant inverter with the induction coil system for metal induction hardening. Considering a rod sample metal made out of Z200C12 material, we propose to determine the required power size of the inverter and the coil specifications, which would meet the necessary heat to achieve the appropriate hardening profile according to the industrial standard. In this approach, the system should operate in the medium resonant frequency range [5 KHz to 30 KHz], and with a penetration depth spanning from 0.5-1 mm with the required supply current level.
