Abstract
This presentation explores the affordances of digital assessment tools for STEM educators. By expediting instructor response and student peer reviews, digital assessment tools can foster successful integration of writing into the STEM curriculum. Digital tools can be used by STEM educators to mentor their teaching assistants and other staff as writers and instructors, inform evidence-based curriculum changes, inspire bigdata, corpus based research, and enable STEM writing programs to secure funding for corpus-based research investigations.
