  • Abstract
    This paper presents the modeling and simulation of photovoltaic model using MATLAB/Simulink software. With the rapid growth of power, the use of solar energy in electric power applications is gradually increasing. But the output of a solar array has non-linear voltage-current characteristics, which varies with the change in irradiation, weather conditions and temperature changes. In order to continuously harness the maximum power from the solar array, an efficient maximum power point tracker has to be implemented, which tracks the maximum possible power at any instant of time.
