Abstract :
A new BTT missile autopilot design method based on the precision estimation approach: Covariance Analysis Describing Equation Technique(CADET) is presented in this paper. The BTT missile attitude model in longitudinal plane is specified by two nonlinear equations. A controller with mean controller and covariance controller is proposed based on CADET. The mean controller designed based on PID control theory mainly affects the convergence of state mean, while covariance controller designed based on Variable Structure Theory affects the convergence of state covariance. The two controllers can be designed separately. Nonlinear simulations are carried out to investigate the performance by tracking square signal and sinusoidal signal compared to rational PID controller with same PID controller parameters. And the simulation results show that the proposed controller designed based on CADET has better performance than PID controller.
