  • Abstract
    This letter presents an internal uniplanar small size multiband antenna for tablet/laptop computer applications. The proposed antenna in addition to common LTE/WWAN channels covers commercial GPS/GLONASS frequency bands. The antenna is comprised of three sections: coupled-fed, shorting and low frequency spiral strips with the size of 50 ×11 ×0.8 mm2. With the aid of spiral strip, lower band operation at 900 MHz is achieved. Two operating frequency bands cover 870-965 and 1556-2480 MHz. In order to validate simulation results, a prototype of the proposed printed antenna is fabricated and tested. Good agreement between the simulation and measurement results is obtained.
