Abstract :
There was a time when I hoped to have a music career. At that time there were two major obstacles. First, was making the recording, which was prohibitively expensive: you couldn???t do anything worthwhile in your lounge, but booking a studio cost money. Second, was getting the demo tape that you had painstakingly and lovingly made onto an A&R (artists and repertoire) man???s desk. Even then, it might not get much attention.
