  • Abstract
    As I approach the end of my first three-year term as Editor-in-Chief of IEEE PHOTONICS TECHNOLOGY LETTERS (PTL), a degree of reflection is inevitable. PTL is in good shape, measured not just in the steadily improving bibliometrics but also in the steady growth in submissions. Coupled with the page limit increasing from 3 to 4 pages, the number of pages printed per annum has increased from less than 2000 in excess of 2500 over the last three years.
