  • Abstract
The authors´ original approach [see ibid.,vol. 1, no. 6, p. 1186-93, 1994] of employing ultrasonic nondestructive testing techniques to search for stator bar insulation defects is commented upon. The comments provided are very welcome since the authors feel this is an important new technique in the armory of diagnostic tools available for assessing the health of generator stator insulation
