  • Abstract
    The ASDEP (Auxiliary System Design and Evaluation Program) expert system is presented. The artificial intelligence techniques incorporated in ASDEP are reviewed along with the limitations of the expert system. An actual design session for a nuclear power plant auxiliary system design is presented step by step. Some possible extensions of the methods used to other power system design problems are mentioned
