Abstract
A two-directional configuration with two fiber Bragg grating stabilized 980-nm lasers pumping an erbium-doped fiber coil and delivering up to 23-dBm output power is presented. Operating conditions leading to stable operation are discussed in terms of pump detuning and power. Configuration with no pump wavelength detuning is also discussed.
