Abstract
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is the key modulation scheme utilised to enable the IEEE 802.11a standard for high-rate WLAN systems. A novel time synchronisation method for the OFDM-based WLAN is presented. The approach utilises coarse and fine estimation. Simulation results exhibit that the algorithm is robust to harsh channel environments.
