Abstract
In an earlier paper we have described the merits of random access packet transmission operating on commercial CATV Systems. The technology was demonstrated to be cost effective for local distribution with many thousands of terminals handled in a standard 6 MHz video frequency band in systems up to 15 miles in diameter. In this paper we describe the testing of such a system using commercial CATV equipment.
