Abstract :
The authors comment on the paper by A. G. Bakirtzis et al (see ibid., vol.17, p.229-36, 2002) and ask whether the proposed enhanced algorithm provides a fast solution and better results as compared to earlier existing GA-based optimal power-flow techniques. They also want to know how this developed algorithm can be used under a deregulated environment, in particular, for bus incremental cost, and hence, marginal cost calculations.
