PACMO: A Comprehensive CAD Package for Microwave Devices

An introduction to a new computer-aided-design (CAD) package (PACMO), particularly useful for graduate courses in microwave devices, is presented. It contains subroutines for the design and analysis of ten microwave devices. The subroutines were developed to give rapid and practical help in obtaining design parameters based on the performance of the devices to be constructed. Although they are based mainly on established classical theories, their development required additional studies due to the complexity of the analyses involved.
