  • Abstract
The Journal of Lightwave Technology (JLT) recently published an editorial preface in JLT (vol. 24, no. 2, p. 656, Feb. 2006) to support the Note authored by X.S. Yao and L. Yan (JLT, vol. 24, no. 2, p. 657, Feb. 2006), which challenged the author´s paper published in Chinese Physics Letters (CPL, vol. 21, no. 2, p.326 Feb. 2004). The preface states that the crystal-length arrangement with respect to the light is not technically crucial. The author feels that, unfortunately, this description misses the point.
