  • Abstract
The activities of the applied bioengineering program in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, are described. The program´s activities are discussed in terms of applied mechanics research and technological developments. Three areas of research are examined: (1) reduction of the vibrational and noise level in incubators for newborns; (2) analysis of the variation of frequency coefficients of a simplified bone-fracture model as a function of the healing process; and (3) dynamic analysis of a plate element used in a heart prostheses subjected to force excitation.<>
