Abstract
In this paper a two-dimensional analytical method for the field evaluation and the determination of the electro-mechanical quantities of a three-phase double-stator induction motor with massive disk rotor is proposed. As a result of the hypothesis of thin rotor we obtain that the azimuthal component of the rotor current density can be neglected. Then we calculate the radial component of the rotor current density and the other electro-mechanical quantities of the motor taking into account the finite thickness of the rotor. Accuracy of the proposed method has been investigated numerically by means of the finite difference method
