Abstract
Gratings have been written in a commercially available elliptical-core fiber using the transverse holographic method. Type I and II-A dynamics have been observed as being strongly anisotropic. As a result, the grating reflectivity can be made highly polarization dependent according to the experimental conditions of the inscription.<>
