Abstract
Dust cores were originally developed for use in carrier telecommunication inductors, but have been replaced by ferrite cores. At the same timie, high frequency switching is widely used in the regulators of compact electrical equipment. Duist cores have two main features: unsaturated magnetic flux densities under external magnetic fields, and low power losses. As a result they are widely used in regulators. Here, the revival of applications of dust cores to regulators are summarized.
