  • Abstract
    The authors newly propose a pre-clipping method that can reduce the impairment due to LD clipping in hybrid analog/digital subcarrier-multiplexed optical transmission for future interactive CATV systems. It is experimentally confirmed that a CNR improvement of 1.3 dB is achieved with the proposed method.<>
