Abstract
Experiments were described in which a plastic sphere was filled with saline solution and an ac current run through the solution, to simulate magnetic fields in the vicinity of the human brain, such as are observed by magnetoencephalogram (MEG) topography. A model of the cerebral ventricle was fixed in the center of the sphere to evaluate the effect of nonuniformity of the conducting regions of the brain. A clear effect on the topographical pattern of the cerebral magnetic field was observed.
