Abstract :
The microstructure, magnetic and magneto-optical properties of Fe-p system amorphous magnetic oxide films were studied. X-ray diffraction showed clearly that the leveling off of the magnetization at 250°C after heat treatment was due to the generation of Fe3O4 crystallization. The reduction in magnetization at about 600°C indicated that the magnetism of the films is based on the Fe3O4. Heat treatment at 300°C increased the saturation magnetization to 1660 Gauss due to the formation of Fe3O4≪ crystals. Heat treatment also increased the remanence and coercivity in the perpendicular direction to 360 Gauss and 450 Oe, respectively.
