Abstract
The influence of complex permeability on magnetic recording heads was analyzed using strict formulas for the finite element method modified to take account of complex permeability. Positional differences between the field intensity and flux density at each frequency showed that there is a loss coefficient due to complex permeability. This loss coefficient is practically zero at all frequencies in the conventional model.
