Abstract
It is shown that two fundamental laws, Ohm´s law in electric circuits and Little´s theorem for queueing systems, are highly analogous. For both single nodes and networks, there is a striking equivalence between the two laws that facilitates the teaching and understanding of the related concepts of current flow in a resistor network and data flow in a communication network
