Abstract :
To handle small, power-hungry electronic systems, manufacturers of rechargeable batteries are exploring at least five technologies: nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal hydride, lithium-ion, lithium-solid polymer electrolyte, and zinc-air. The author describes the features of each of these technologies pointing out their advantages and problems
