Abstract
The development of hydropower´s clean, renewable potential can play a key role in meeting Canada´s growing electricity needs while reducing emissions of greenhouse gases and air pollutants. The paper gives an overview of hydroelectric power development in Canada and the favorable factors that make hydroelectric power suitable in Canada.
