Embedded processors are fundamentally different from desktop processors -costs are too tight for fancy chip sets and expensive packaging. So if you´re new to embedded processors, the marketplace is foreign. Worse, so are the design decisions. When you consider purchasing an embedded microprocessor, look carefully at the direct memory access engine
