  • Abstract
    In the abovementioned correspondence P. Yip and K.R. Rao (see ibid., vol.ASSP-35, p.404-6, Mar.1987) presented a shift property for even discrete cosine transforms (EDCT) and sine transforms (EDST). The commenter points out that the odd counterparts (ODCT and ODST) also exist in the family. He extends Yip and Rao´s results to these odd triangular transforms and makes several corrections to their work.<>
