Abstract :
A miniature monopole slot antenna implemented by suitably meandering the notch into a J shape and seriesly coupling to an open transmission line stub is reported. Overall occupation area of the proposed antenna, ~7.94times7.41 mm2, is achieved. 10 dB impedance bandwidth of about 8% is obtained, which is twice that of a simple half-wavelength slot antenna tested. Guidelines for the design of the proposed antenna are provided
