  • Abstract
    We propose a new home network protocol for networked home appliances (NHAs). The proposed protocol is designed for a control network using power line communication, and has low resource overheads and low cost for the NHAs, which operate on an 8-bit microprocessor. The proposed protocol network is implemented in a home control network system that comprises a home server and networked home appliances, such as washing machines, microwave ovens and air conditioners
