Abstract :
The practical aspects of a 14 Mbit/s high speed downlink packet access terminal are discussed. The possibility of achieving 13.98 Mbit/s is examined and conclusions are drawn with respect to the required EC/IOR. Novel real time throughput measurement results are shown for the 3GPP type approval test cases using a RAKE receiver and equalisation based receivers.
