Abstract
A cooperative multiple relay system is considered in this study which exploit opportunistic relaying (OR)-based protocol with coded cooperation approach. For the considered system, the optimal diversity multiplexing tradeoff (DMT) is determined in different scenarios including either considering the source node as a potential relay or not. The study is then extended to the case where the quantised channel state information (QCSI) feedback is considered. In particular, an OR-based protocol with QCSI at the source node is presented. It is shown that the QCSI feedback linearly improves the DMT performance. In addition, it is proved that the role of QCSI feedback to improve DMT performance is higher than that of cooperative relays.
