Abstract :
A moment-method-model for horn analysis is presented. The generalized reflection matrix of the aperture is determined using the spectral Galerkin method. The reflection matrix is then combined with the generalized scattering matrix of the horn to yield the input return loss and the aperture fields of the horn. It is shown that the model can predict the radiation characteristics more accurately than the models commonly used in practice
