Abstract :
A hemispherical dielectric lens antenna is proposed as a simultaneous multisatellite DBS (direct broadcasting satellite) reception antenna. It adopts a novel offset feed for light weight, freedom from blockage, and beam separation. The prototype antenna and the converters used are described. The prototype antenna was evaluated and satellite TV signal reception tests were performed. The prototype showed good scanning characteristics and a wide frequency response
