Abstract
Current full crosstalk cancellation (FCC) techniques suffer from error propagation and severe noise enhancement and require precise knowledge of crosstalk coupling between the twisted pair wires. This is near impossible to obtain. Presented is an FCC technique that estimates blindly the crosstalk channel using independent component analysis (ICA) and passes it to the minimum mean square error detector as a very good initial point. Numerical experiments indicate clear performance gain compared to existing techniques.
