Abstract :
Switching times of a single-domain particle with uniaxial anisotropy in an applied field at an oblique angle, a few degrees, to the easy axis were calculated as a function of applied field by solving Brown´s Fokker-Planck equation numerically. The terms in the equation can be classified into three types: dissipative, gyromagnetic, and thermal. The influence of the term of each type on the switching time was studied.
