Abstract
Ferrous sulphide FeS1+x thin films were obtained by chemical vapor deposition (CVD), using Fe[(C2H5)2NCS2]3 as a precursor, and their ferrimagnetic structure was characterized by conversion electron Mossbauer spectroscopy (CEMS) in relation with the deposition temperature. Magnetite and hematite thin films were prepared, with stoichiometry determined from their CEMS spectra, by thermal treatment under variable air pressure of the CVD as-cast films.
