Abstract :
This paper deals with the characterization of passive ultra-high-frequency (UHF) radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag performance. The tag´s energy-harvesting properties, and the significance of the backscattered signal strength and radar cross section (RCS) of the tag, are discussed using two examples: dipole tag antennas of various widths, and identification of industrial paper reels.
