Abstract :
Determining whether or not an IPv6 node has moved to a new subnet is not a simple issue in IETF Mobile IPv6. In this letter, we analyze the movement detection process of IPv6 mobile nodes qualitatively and quantitatively, and present the results of our performance analysis in terms of latency caused by the process.
